The Business and Basketball Training Programs are designed to provide immersive learning experience into key areas of the business of basketball, including analytics, basketball operations, and sales. These programs support participants through three areas: business fundamentals, learning and development, and ball for all.
Participant Experience
The Business & Basketball Training Programs are a series of virtual development programs. By providing early career professionals with access to mentorship, networking and development opportunities, as well as real-world insights. The Future Analytics Stars, Future Basketball Operations Stars, and Future Sales Stars programs connect current executives with the next generation of leaders in these fields.
Programming includes deep dives into foundational learning across these business areas. Participants also hear from guest speakers, engage in candid discussions on how to thrive in the sports industry and participate in skill-building sessions such as resume writing, interview prepartion and networking.

Future Analytics Stars
The NBA Future Analytics Stars (FAS) program is designed to attract, develop, and pipeline top talent of future leaders in basketball, business, and marketing analytics. Programming includes Basketball Analytics 101, Programming in Python and discussions with industry leaders on growing a successful career in sports.
This unique virtual program provides participants with access to mentorship, networking, and development opportunities, as well as real-world insights. The program will connect current executives in these fields with the next generation of leaders in data and analytics. Current undergraduate juniors, seniors, graduate students, or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Future Basketball Operations Stars
The Future Basketball Operations Stars (FBOS) program is designed to attract, develop, and pipeline future leaders for roles within basketball operations.
FBOS provides trainees with opportunities to learn about various components of basketball operations from industry experts and leaders. Trainees will be mentored by league office executives, participate in sessions designed to spark self-awareness and highlight key behaviors thats contribute to success within the basketball operations ecosystem. Participants will learn about roster construction, scouting, player development, CBA/Salary cap, and more.
The FBOS program consists of virtual training spanning a five-month period. Upon the completion of the virtual program, the league office will identify and select the top FBOS participants for short-term in-person career development opportunities with the league office.

Trainees will be mentored by league office executives, participate in sessions designed to spark self-awareness and highlight key behaviors thats contribute to success within the basketball operations ecosystem. The NBA Future Sales Stars (FSS) program is designed to provide participants with access to mentorship, networking, and development opportunities, as well as real-world insights. The Program will connect current leaders in these fields with the next generation of elite executives in revenue generating roles.
The program is designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing careers in ticket sales and corporate partnerships, or who are early in their careers in similar fields. This unique program is expected to run for approximately six months and will consist of virtual programming.
