As the Managing Director of NBA Asia, Wayne Chang is responsible for the growth of the league’s business and basketball development efforts across the Asia-Pacific region.  Prior to this role, Chang was with NBA China for more than 10 years, first as Chief Financial Officer and most recently as Chief Commercial Officer overseeing Global Partnerships.

Before joining the NBA, Chang spent 18 years at General Electric across the United States and China.  Chang was the Chief Financial Officer of GE Healthcare, China from 2001 – 2007 and served as the division’s Chief Operations Officer through 2010.  As Chief Financial Officer, he oversaw over US$80 million in commercial financing programs to help support the growth of their business while leading an 80-person finance staff.  As Chief Operations Officer, Chang spearheaded product marketing and operations in China and managed over US$500 million in sales with a team comprising more than 200 individuals.

Chang received an honors degree in Economics and Psychology from Indiana University in 1991.  His hobbies include playing basketball and tennis.
