Michael Ma is the Chief Executive Officer of NBA Asia.  In this role, he oversees the league's basketball and business development initiatives in Asia and Oceana, including in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and other countries across the region.

Prior to being appointed to his current position in October 2023, Ma was the CEO of NBA China for more than three years, where he drove significant growth of the league’s presence in the country.  Ma previously spent more than a decade with the NBA at the league's offices in New York City and Beijing, where he served as Vice President of Global Strategy and was instrumental in the launch of NBA China.

In addition to his roles with the NBA, he previously served as CEO and founding head of Endeavor China, a subsidiary of global sports and entertainment leader Endeavor.

Ma holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Rutgers University.
